"SEISMIC CHANGES"
“The newspaper industry is undergoing seismic changes, so it’s critical that journalism schools provide new insights and skills that will prepare the next generation of newsroom leaders,” said Drew Davis, API’s President and Executive Director.
“The on-site workshops address some of the most pressing issues facing newsrooms today, from building new audiences to creating a new newsroom model. These programs also allow us to reach many more journalism educators than we have ever before.”
♦ “We are very pleased that API is now bringing its high-quality seminars to journalism educators on the campuses of colleges and universities with established schools of journalism,” said Allen R. Malcolm, a trustee of the John Ben Snow Memorial Trust. “We are confident that this new approach to the next generation of journalists will be very successful.”
The one-day programs will be open to local journalists for a modest tuition.
♦ Details about the workshops are available on the API Web site: www.americanpressinstitute.org
